Around 45 attended the evening, hosted by Greensand Trust representative Steve Halton and arranged jointly by the Beds Natural History Society, P3 and Wildlife 2000. Ivan Dunn (ranger) presented slides of the unique plants and trees in Kings' and Baker's Woods, followed by Phil Irving (field officer) with slides on the heathland flora that gave the village its name, plus the wildlife of the local sand quarries. Both are from Stockgrove Country Park. Tea and cakes were served by the WI.
